T20 World cup Why did India selected four spinners ?

T20, Former spinner Harbhajan Singh feels India should have chosen a finisher like Rinku Singh to strengthen their lower-order batting instead of four spinners for the T20 World Cup.

The Indian squad for the T20 World Cup in the US and the West Indies next month consists of four spinners: Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja. The team also includes three specialist pacers: Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Siraj.

The World Cup squad has been decided upon. The batting is strong. We could use one more fast bowler. Since Rinku Singh can win the game for us on his own, he will be missed. “He can chase down 60 runs in 20 balls,” stated Harbhajan, who competed for India in the 2007 T20 World Cup, to ANI.

“I think selecting four spinners is a little excessive. Three would have sufficed. I hope Team India wins the Cup and wish them the best.”

He went on to say that India would never start a game with four spinners in their starting lineup.

We won’t ever use four spinners in a game. Ravindra Jadeja will play it. He may play with Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. In a match, we might field three spinners. Once we see the criteria, we will learn more about the combo.”

Harbhajan is excited about India’s major match against Pakistan on June 9 in New York, where he thinks he can lead India.

“I am sure we will win against Pakistan. We have a great track record against them and a better team,” he stated.

The former Indian spinner thinks Sanju Samson ought to come in as the wicketkeeper before Rishabh Pant. Samson is having the finest IPL season of his career, with 504 runs at a 156 strike rate and five half-centuries. Pant, on the other hand, has smashed 446 runs at a strike rate of 155 in 13 innings.
